A significant development application for a residential development in Bertram has been received by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under Part 11B of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

The application proposes 161 townhouses, 39 with a secondary self-contained apartment, and an internal road network, visitor car parking, open space and landscaping at 21 and 31 Johnson Road, Bertram.

The development consists of the following elements:

  • 161 dwellings as follows:
    • 12 x 1-bedroom townhouses
    • 32 x 2-bedroom townhouses
    • 51 x 3-bedroom townhouses
    • 27 x 4-bedroom townhouses
    • 39 x 4-bedroom townhouses, with a secondary self-contained apartment above the garage and with dedicated laneway access
  • An internal road network
  • 21 visitor car parking bays located on Johnson Road
  • 42 visitor parking bays on site, and
  • Open space and landscaping.

The application from Element Advisory is required to be advertised to seek public comments and is open until 13 November 2025.

The development is valued at $51 million.
