Overview
The Western Australian Planning Commission has received an application for development approval at: Lot 2, No. 8731 West Swan Road, Henley Brook in the Swan Valley.
The proposal is for the following:
• A 15m x 30m retrospective marquee (total area of 450m2 ) measuring a maximum height of 5.6m located behind the restaurant area within the beer garden area. The marquee is partially enclosed with a seating area inside.
• The wall of the marquee measures approximately 3.154m, with the ridge height approximately 5.6m.
• The marquee is set back approximately 150 metres from West Swan Road.
• The marquee is set back 8m in lieu of the permitted 15m from the northern side lot boundary (abutting 8931 West Swan Road, Henley Brook).
• There is a regular Saturday afternoon event inside the marquee which consists of a DJ playing music between the hours of 12:30pm to 4:30pm. There may be other occasional events held inside the marquee from Monday to Friday which play music. In support of this, the applicant has provided an acoustic report which states that music played from the marquee will comply with the noise regulations at all times.
• No change to maximum patronage, staffing numbers and existing operational requirements are proposed.
