Overview
The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking public comment on a proposed alterations and additions to an existing single dwellingin the Swan Valley planning area.
The proposal consists of the following works:
•The construction of a 184m2addition to the existing dwelling with floor levels to match that of the existing dwelling with skillion verandah totalling 73.68m2affixed to the addition. The addition will be constructed from weatherboard and Colourbond material. (Stage 1) •Arefurbishmentoftheexistingdwellingwhichentails demolishing the roof structure and increasing the wall height of the dwelling from 2.4m to 3m with a new roof structure. •The construction of a fully enclosed internal walkway that will link the addition to the existing dwelling. •Additional leach drain located 2m away from the existing leach drain •Some clearing of vegetation as a result of the additions.
The application seeks to vary the permitted development standards for land zoned ‘Swan Valley Rural’ under the Swan Valley Planning Scheme No. 1 regarding the following:
•The dwelling will be set back a distance of 20.8m in lieu of the 30m from the primary street •The dwelling will be set back a distance of 12.8m in lieu of 15m from the southern side lot boundary
