The Western Australian Planning Commission has received a development application (REF #21-50906-2) for proposed alterations and additions to an existing tavern at Lot 6 (No. 8600) West Swan Road, Henley Brook.

The proposal is for the following:

  • Minor works including the relocation of the shed on Forrest Road and demolition of the transportable building, pergola, retaining walls and staircase.
  • External changes, renovations and extensions to the existing building including new retaining walls, ramp and deck.
  • Construction of an outdoor dining room, conversion of a shipping container for use as an outside bar and a kids nature play area.
  • Internal building upgrades including new bathroom facilities and internal reconfiguration, increasing the total floor area by 18m2.
  • Upgrade to the car parking area to provide parking for 63 cars plus two accessible parking bays.

The application is open for comment until 2 July 2026
