Overview
A significant development application for residential apartments in South Perth has been received by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under Part 11B of the Planning and Development Act 2005.
The application proposes demolition of the existing South Mill Water apartments at 44 Mill Point Road, South Perth and redevelopment with a 17-storey residential building that has 57 apartments, associated amenities, car parking and landscaping, and enhancements to the public realm at 48 Mill Point Road, South Perth.
The development consists of the following elements:
- 6 one-bedroom studio apartments
- 12 two-bedroom dwellings
- 36 three-bedroom dwellings
- 3 four-bedroom dwellings
- Communal spaces including reception, alfresco, entertaining, meeting and storage areas, and
- Parking including 125 resident bays, eight visitor bays, one shared / temporary bay, seven motorcycle bays and 35 bicycle parking spaces.
The application from Planning Solutions on behalf of the Blackburne Property Group is required to be advertised to seek public comments and is open until 22 June 2025.
The development is valued at $70 million.
