Consultation closes on 30 October 2025

An application to amend an approved mixed-use redevelopment of the Ocean Village site in City Beach has been received by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under Part 17 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

The amendment application proposes modifications including a change in the number of apartments and commercial tenancies, and associated changes to landscaping and car parking.

The changes can be summarised as:

  • Reduction from 15 to 11 commercial tenancies, including removal of the ground floor Tavern use
  • 17 additional residential apartments in the vicinity of the removed Tavern, increasing the total number of apartments from 247 to 264
  • Relocation of the liquor store from within the proposed supermarket to tenancy 4
  • Increase in height of 90cm to southern tower and podium, and
  • Associated landscaping, car parking and access changes.

This amendment application seeks to change aspects of the approved development and comments are invited in relation to the proposed changes.
