Overview
A significant development application for a shopping centre in Pinjarra has been received by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under Part 11B of the Planning and Development Act 2005.
The application proposes a supermarket, shops, a restaurant/café and office with associated car parking and landscaping at 48 and 52 James Steet, 4 Roe Avenue and Lot 5001 Pinjarra Road, Pinjarra.
The development consists of the following elements:
- A Woolworths supermarket with direct-to-boot collection bay
- Two shops adjacent to the supermarket
- Further shops and commercial tenancies fronting Pinjarra Road
- A carpark providing 261 car bays including shade sails
- A landscaped area with shelter at the corner of Pinjarra Road and Roe Avenue to provide a covered community space, and
- Road widening modifications to Roe Avenue/James Street.
The application from Urbis on behalf of Fabcot Pty Ltd is required to be advertised to seek public comments and is open until 25 May 2025.
The development is valued at $25 million.
