A development application for a café/restaurant as part of the redevelopment of the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club has been received by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under Part 10 of the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
Located on 189 West Coast Drive, Sorrento (Lot 301 on DP 48930), the application proposes construction of a single-storey café/restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating on the site of the current Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club which is to be relocated.
The application from the City of Joondalup is being advertised to seek public comments and is open until Thursday, 4 December 2025.
The development is valued at $1.96 million.
Local residents: Application documents can also be viewed by appointment at the City of Joondalup Administration Building, 90 Boas Avenue, Joondalup between 9am and 4.30pm weekdays. Call 9400 4000 to make an appointment.
