Why is the applicant able to apply for an amendment?

    Under Part 11B of the Planning and Development Act (2005) applicants of approved developments are able to apply for amendments to plans, conditions and/or the substantial commencement period. 


    Are there any changes to the plans proposed as part of this amendment application, such as building height or density?

    Yes, modifications are proposed to the design and layout of the proposal as outlined in the applicant’s covering letter and detailed in their proposed development plans and supporting technical information. This information is available in the Key Documents section on this page for the duration of the public advertising period. No changes are proposed to the building height.

    Will the local government be consulted?

    Yes, the Town of Cambridge is being consulted.

    Will my prior comments on the original proposal be considered as part of this amendment application?

    No, this application relates to proposed changes to the approved proposal and you are advised to provide a fresh submission should you have concerns or wish to make comment about the proposed changes.

    Who will determine this application and when?

    The SPC is the decision-maker for the amendment application. A meeting date will be scheduled once feedback has been received from the public and other stakeholders, and an assessment is complete.
