Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking public comment retrospective signage in the Swan Valley planning area.

The application seeks approval for retrospective signage at Lot 11 (No.518) Great Northern Highway, Middle Swan. The application consists of the following works:

  • A retrospective v shaped steel sign which addresses both George Road and Great Northern Highway.
  • Each side of the sign has the dimensions of 1.8m x 3.18m. the total area of the retrospective signage is 11.448 square metres.
  • The sign has a ground level clearance of 0.68m which makes the total height of the signs 2.48 metres from ground level.
  • The signage consists of fixed wording and advertises the Swan Valley Brewery which operates on the site.

The application is advertised as the proposal varies the provisions of the Swan Valley Signage Policy as the cumulative area of signage on a single lot exceeds 15 square metres.
