A significant development application for a mixed-use proposal in Bicton has been received by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under Part 11B of the Planning and Development Act 2005.
The application proposes an 11-storey development comprising 203 apartments and 7 commercial tenancies, including micro-brewery, liquor store, shops and cafés/restaurants at 326 Canning Highway, Bicton.
The development consists of the following elements:
- 87 one-bedroom, 75 two-bedroom and 24 three-bedroom apartments, and 17 studio apartments
- 1,950m2 of commercial space at ground and mezzanine levels, with a two-level micro-brewery (685m2), a liquor store (208m2), two cafes (272m2 and 168m2) and three retail tenancies (162m2, 99m2 and 97m2)
- 312 parking bays distributed over basement, ground and mezzanine levels, with primary access from Point Walter Road and existing access from Canning Highway retained
- A pocket park fronting Canning Highway, and landscaping, communal open space and resident facilities located on the Level 1 podium.
The application from Planning Solutions on behalf of Changfeng Pty Ltd is required to be advertised to seek public comment and is open until 30 August 2026.
