Overview
A significant development application for a service commercial development in Bovell has been received by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under Part 11B of the Planning and Development Act 2005.
The application proposes bulky goods showrooms and a restaurant/café, and associated parking, landscaping and amenities at Lot 805 Chapman Hill Road, Bovell.
The development consists of the following elements:
- 22 bulky goods showroom tenancies to a total of 48,117m².
- A 180m2 restaurant/café.
- Public amenities including a pocket park, playground, end of trip facilities and public toilets.
- A total of 1,230 car parking bays and 167 bicycle parking bays.
- Landscaping along the length of the boundaries with the Busselton Bypass and Vasse Diversion Drain, as well as within the street setbacks and car parking areas.
- Access and/or egress via three vehicle crossovers on Chapman Hill Road.
- Service vehicle accessways and loading areas to the rear of some tenancies.
- The application also includes landscaping, parking bays and access for a future business park which is not part of this application.
The application from Urbis on behalf of developer Arise Developments is required to be advertised to seek public comments and is open until 16 January 2025.
The development is valued at $170 million.
