Consultation closes 30 November 2025
A significant development application for a self-storage facility and commercial tenancy in East Victoria Park has been received by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under Part 11B of the Planning and Development Act 2005.
The application proposes a three-storey self-storage facility and separate ground floor commercial tenancy at 176-178 Swansea Street East, East Victoria Park.
The development consists of the following elements:
Demolition of two existing buildings and associated carpark,
Development of:
9,649m2 of self-storage units
67m2 box shop (packing supplies)
98m2 commercial tenancy to be leased to a third party and
4,152m2 of circulation and services infrastructure, including vehicle ramps, car parking, lifts, stairs and utilities rooms.
The application from Rowe Group on behalf of National Storage is required to be advertised to seek public comment and is open until 30 November 2025.
The development is valued at $41 million.
