Why is this application being advertised by DPLH?
The Swan Valley Planning area is in the control of the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC). Any development within this area requires a Development Application which is lodged with the DPLH on behalf of the WAPC.
What is the role of the City of Swan?
This land is under the control of the WAPC, and the City of Swan is consulted as a stakeholder.
What is the process for this proposal to be determined?
The assessment takes into consideration feedback from the consultation and referral comments received from agencies and local government. Proposal is assessed under the Swan Valley Planning Scheme No.1 provisions and any relevant policies. Recommendation is made to the WAPC/SVSPC for determination.

On 10 August 2023, the West Australian Planning Commission approved a proposal for a 576m2 shed and a 328m2 lean to affixed to the northern and eastern elevations of the shed.
The current proposal seeks to extend the lean-to addition to the western elevation of the shed, resulting in the total lean-to area affixed to the shed being 460m2. This is the first time community is being asked for feedback on this proposal.
