Consultation closes 16 September 2025

The Western Australian Planning Commission has received a development application for proposed additions to an existing single house, new ancillary dwelling - rural, outbuilding, a tennis court and associated fencing on Lot 2 (1941) West Swan Road, Caversham.

The proposal is assessed in accordance with the development criteria for lots greater than 2000m2 under Swan Valley Planning Scheme No. 1 Schedule 5 provisions. As such, the application proposes the following variations:

  • The proposed garage addition is set back 9.4m from the West Swan Road boundary in lieu of 30m.
  • The proposed Single House extension is set back 3.95m from the southern side boundary in lieu of 15m.
  • The proposed Ancillary Dwelling – Rural is set back 1m from the southern side boundary in lieu of 15m.
  • The proposed Outbuilding (Workshop) is located 1m from the northern and western lot boundaries.
  • The application also proposes 3m-high chain-link fencing for the proposed tennis court. The fencing is set back 1m from the southern boundary and built to the western boundary.

The application is open for comments until 16 September 2025.
