Consultation closes 3 June 2025.

Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking public comment on a proposal to amend the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) for land in the City of Swan.

The purpose of the amendment to rezone approximately 125.86 ha in Bullsbrook from the Rural zone to the Urban Deferred zone in the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS). The proposed amendment will primarily facilitate future residential development and areas of public open space (POS).

The amendment is to be progressed as a standard region scheme amendment as the proposal generally aligns with the intent of Perth and Peel@3.5million / North-East Sub-Regional Planning Framework as the urbanisation of the site is a transitional land use which would complement the abutting urbanisation to the north.

Submissions close Tuesday 03 June 2025. Late submissions may not be considered.

Please direct queries for more information to the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage by email to regionplanningschemes@dplh.wa.gov.au or telephone (08) 6551 9000.
