Are there any changes to the plans proposed as part of this amendment application, such as building height or density?
While there are changes proposed to the plans, these changes do not increase the building height, density or number of bedrooms compared to the approved development. The proposed changes to the plans primarily relate to building design, as outlined in the Applicant’s Planning Report available in the Key Documents section on this page.
Are there any changes to the approval conditions proposed as part of this amendment application?
Yes, it is proposed to delete sub-clause (b) of condition 22 that requires a public accessway through the site.
What are the wind turbines for?
It is proposed to install four vertical axis wind turbines as a sustainability measure for power generation. While the final turbines have not been selected, the outline on the elevation available in the Key Documents section on this page depicts the maximum size.
Has there been an earlier amendment on this application?
A previous amendment for minor modifications to the building envelope and layout of the basement and ground floor levels was approved by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under delegated authority on 20 March 2026. Will the local government be consulted?
Yes, the City of Nedlands and other State agency stakeholders are being consulted.
Who will determine this application and when?
The WAPC is the decision-maker for applications to amend Part 11B development approvals. Determination of the application will occur following close of the submission period and once the assessment is complete.
