Overview

A significant development application for a Residential Development in City Beach has been received by the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) under Part 11B of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

Planning Solutions on behalf of Ocean Gardens Inc and Bode are proposing the development of Lot 3 (60) Kalinda Drive and Lot 560 Balandi Way, City Beach, for residential purposes.

Lot 3 is currently occupied by the Ocean Gardens Retirement Village. Eight existing independent living units are proposed to be demolished to make way for a four-storey building accommodating 24 new independent living units, as well as parking bays and associated services and amenities.

Lot 560 is currently vacant and located within the Ocean Mia Estate in City Beach. The development proposed on Lot 560 is for two residential buildings of four and six storeys respectively to accommodate a total of 31 multiple dwellings, as well as parking bays and associated services and amenities.

The application is required to be advertised to seek public comments and is open until 17 February 2025.

The development is valued at $48.9 million.

The application documents can also be inspected at the Town of Cambridge Administration Offices, 1 Bold Park Drive, Floreat from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday for the duration of the submission period.
