Consultation closes 23 November 2026

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking feedback on the proposed Amendment 16 to Swan Valley Planning Scheme No.1. The Amendment proposes to:

  • rezone Lot 47 (11111) and Lot 48 (10901) West Swan Road, Henley Brook, from ‘Priority Agriculture’ to ‘Special Use’
  • modify ‘Schedule 4 – Special Use Zones’ of the Scheme Text by inserting land uses and relevant conditions applicable to the zone, and
  • modify the Scheme Map to show Special Use zone over Lot 47 (11111) and Lot 48 (10901) West Swan Road, Henley Brook.

The proposed amendment will facilitate the Foundation for Indigenous Sustainable Health (FISH) Health and Wellbeing Project, which comprises short-term accommodation and associated cultural, hospitality, and community land uses intended to support Aboriginal people travelling from regional and remote Western Australia to Perth for medical treatment.
