Swan Valley Planning Scheme No.1, Amendment No.9

Consultation closes 19 October 2025

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) has received a request to amend the Swan Valley Planning Scheme No.1 is proposed to modify the existing Additional Use No.14, Lot 211 (No.2931) West Swan Road, Caversham in Schedule 2 by increasing the maximum stipulated building envelope for the ‘Food and Beverage Production’ use and including a ‘Reception Centre’ use as a ‘D’ (discretionary) use.

This would enable the WAPC to consider a future development application for the possible replacement of the existing residential dwelling buildings area, with an additional use of 'Reception Centre' and ability to manufacturing of fresh & dry pasta products onsite.

The proposed Scheme Amendment is being advertised in accordance with the Swan Valley Planning Act 2020 and the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015. The Swan Valley Statutory Planning Committee, on behalf of the WAPC, will then consider all submissions and recommend whether the Minister for Planning should approve the proposed Scheme Amendment.

The Scheme Amendment would not be an approval to commence development. If the Scheme Amendment is approved by the Minister for Planning, the landowner would then need to lodge a more detailed application for development approval, which would be advertised prior to being determined by the WAPC.
