Overview

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) has received a development application for construction of a three-storey residential building containing 50 apartments for social and affordable housing at the corner of Boorn Street, Redcliffe. The application is to be determined under Part 10 of the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS).

In addition to the 50 apartments, the application also proposes:

  • a 32m2 office and co-working hub
  • 32 car parking bays for residents
  • eight car parking bays for visitors
  • 10 motorcycle bays
  • 26 residential bicycle bays, and
  • communal courtyard and landscaping throughout the site.

The application from DevelopmentWA is required to be advertised to seek public comments and is open until Thursday, 18 September 2025.

This development is valued at $27 million.

Local residents: The application documents can also be viewed at the City of Belmont Civic Centre, 215 Wright Street, Cloverdale from 8.30am-4.45pm weekdays for the duration of the submission period.
